OUR SOCIOCRATIC MODEL OF DOING THINGS!
We are our Volunteers!

Volunteer Outer Circle
The continuous interest of people from all over Greece to participate in SYH's effort for cleaner neighborhoods, inevitably led to the creation of local volunteer groups in neighborhoods all over the territory. This structure serves to better organize the national network of volunteers, since each group operates independently, collectively and self-organized. Because of this method, more frequent and more actions are thus achieved in areas in all over Greece with a great impact on local communities.
Each local group nominates one or multiple coordinators that keep the groups active and energized, helping them in organizing their initiatives, while in the same time, they participate in the coordinators' circle communicating their teams' needs and will and taking decisions on a national level for them.
Local Coordinators' Circle
This council serves the internal cohesion of the organization, the continuous information of all groups/structures about the developments and procedures of SYH, from and in every direction, as well as being the bridge between the volunteers of the local groups and the central organizational structures so that to convey needs, requests, complaints and more. The council includes the coordinators who have been nominated by each local group, who are renewed whenever this is deemed necessary.
The council operates with a debate moderator, a secretary to record the minutes and an agenda of issues.
Education Circle
The education circle is responsible for developing and implementing school and educational experiential programs, with the aim of educating students about environmental issues and encouraging them to take action.By educating students about environmental issues, the education circle helps to create a new generation of environmentally conscious citizens who are more likely to take action to protect their environment. The education circle is also a key part of SYH's efforts to promote environmental awareness and education in the wider community. By collaborating with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders, the education circle is able to reach a wider audience and make a more significant impact.
Creative Circle
This group of creative volunteers plays a crucial role in shaping SYH's digital and physical identity, translating its message into a variety of creative forms.
The creative circle's contributions extend beyond mere aesthetics. Their work aims to amplify SYH's impact by capturing attention, fostering engagement, and inspiring action. Through innovative designs, captivating imagery, and compelling narratives, the creative circle breathes life into SYH's initiatives, making them more relatable and impactful.
Initiatives Circle
The initiatives circle operates as a creative think tank, fostering an environment where new ideas can flourish and innovative solutions can emerge. Through collaborative brainstorming sessions and open-minded discussions, the circle identifies and develops potential initiatives that align with SYH's mission and the needs of the community.
Their work extends beyond mere ideation; they take the lead in empowering these initiatives, ensuring their successful implementation and impact.
Scientific Circle
This group of volunteers with scientific backgrounds brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to bear on addressing local environmental challenges. They provide scientific advice on proper waste disposal practices, ensuring that SYH's cleanup efforts are environmentally sound and minimize the impact on the community, analyze environmental data collected during cleanups and other initiatives to gain a deeper understanding of the specific environmental challenges faced by the community, promote environmental stewardship practices and educate the community about sustainable living habits.
